coiro

Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, coiro's journey unfolds against the backdrop of the largest city in Latin America. From early childhood, a profound connection to the world of music manifested itself, mostly guided by the harmonious influence of his parents: His father, an acclaimed classical musician, introduced him to the world of classical music, while his mother felt more captivated by the cadence of Brazilian popular music.

coiro's formal education further cemented his musical foundation: In school, music was integral to the curriculum. There, he learned to play the recorder and violin and contributed to the school's choir ensemble. At the tender age of 16, during high school, coiro stumbled upon the world of electronic music, specifically a blend of deephouse and nu disco, that was gaining popularity in Brazil at the time. Recognizing the transformative power of a so called digital audio workstation (DAW), coiro went on a self-directed journey, exploring the vast landscape of musical possibilities and utilizing online platforms like YouTube to master the difficulties of music production. The global pandemic, while challenging, presented coiro with an invaluable opportunity. Confined to his residence, heimmersed himself in a voyage of discovery, drawing inspiration from esteemed artists like Christian Löffler, Ben Böhmer, Fejká, as well as Kiasmos and eventually shaping and influencing his own sound and artistic direction. During a reflective retreat to the São Paulo coastline, coiro found a profound connection with nature. The rhythmic ebb and flow of the ocean, the whispering wind, and the rustle of leaves became his artistic inspiration. Contemporary influences such as Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, and Lenine, further shaped his creative process and musical identity. His journey, marked by the rhythm of discovery and the harmony of connection, continues to unfold, resonating with the soulful echoes of São Paulo's vibrant cultural tapestry.
